About Dan

Dan O’Donoghue is a leading trainer in Ireland in the field of Networking & Referral Generation. As a director consultant with BNI (Business Network International) and a qualified Train the Trainer, and most recently now a certified trainer with Asentiv Worldwide, Dan has studied extensively the concept of Referral Generation in the UK, United States & Central Europe over many years and has successfully implemented referral programmes with all his clients.

This revenue generating approach is both refreshing and effective for clients and as Dan outlines, this helps a client to stop the aimless “cold calling”. This passion has been derived from many years in the sales & marketing industry and realising that the “numbers game” is not the route to market.

Dan has worked extensively with hospitality clients through his involvement as a former Chairperson of the AOIFE (Association of Irish Festival & Events) and Director of the Rose of Tralee, among other roles, Dan has established a vast network both National & International. Dan has recently been appointed as the preferred training partner to the IHF (Irish Hotel Federation).

  • Dan O’Donoghue, “Networking Made Simple”, has made a big difference to the way Select Hotels leverage contacts both within the individual Hotels and between Hotels within the Group. Select Hotels wanted to establish a Referral Generation Programme for our Hotels and Dan O’Donoghue was instrumental in achieving this for us. Dan’s training sessions created the understanding within each hotel of the power of contacts to generate business, identify & record all management/ staff contacts in each hotel, develop a database of contacts that can be used as a marketing tool for each individual hotel and for the group.
